Teachers and parents of SK Ladang Pendas recently teamed up to organise a get-together with the students, aimed to increase awareness on the importance of education. SK Ladang Pendas, one of UEM Land’s PINTAR Schools, is made up of 94 percent of the Orang Asli community from Kampung Simpang Arang.

Themed “Pursuing Your Dreams”, the event complemented the effort and the commitment of the teachers in helping the Orang Asli folks to better understand the benefits of the development of Nusajaya.
The gathering started at 7.30am and was packed with fun-filled activities lined up for the Orang Asli folks, like telematches, nasyeed performances, silat show and a fire demonstration from the Fire & Rescue Department.

A motivational talk was also deliverd by YB Senator Tuan Osman bin Bungsu, an official representative of the Orang Asli Community of Peninsular Malaysia. He shared his experiences and showed a video presentation to explain further the importance of education for their children.
The event blended well with UEM Land’s CSR policy which concentrates on education and community building. UEM Land was officially represented by En Rusli Zainal Abidin, General Manager, Township and Infrastructure Planning of Bandar Nusajaya Development Sdn Bhd. |
