UEM Land is conscious of its responsibility to contribute to the conservation of the environment and is allocating resources and taking affirmative steps to minimize the impact of our development on the environment. This we plan to achieve through the strategic management of Nusajaya’s water, energy and waste management; and environment conservation.

BioDiversity: Ramsar Site Sg Pulai, was produced by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and sponsored by UEM Land Berhad as part of its commitment to help promote public awareness and appreciation of the intrinsic value of the rich mangrove flora and fauna, and the functional significance of the mangrove forest ecosystem to the environment.

The book is a simple introductory guide to the rich flora and fauna biodiversity of the Sg Pulai mangrove forest and the Ramsar site of South Johor, aimed at promoting public awareness and appreciation of the intrinsic value and functional significance of the mangrove forest ecosystem.

A media briefing was recently held at Nusajaya Centre, together with the authors of the book. The session was held to brief the Media of the content of the book as well as UEM Land’s association with the publication of the book.

The book will be distributed to public libraries, academic institutions and our PINTAR schools in Gelang Patah.
