In line with the ‘Book Donation Programme’ initiative by GCRC of UEM Group, the inspirational book, “A
Second Chance – Life and Mission of Arsyad Ayub” were distributed to all our PINTAR schools in Gelang
Patah, Nusajaya.

No stranger to poverty, Tan Sri Datuk Arsyad Ayub, Chairman of AmanahRaya -JMF Asset Management Sdn
Bhd was born on 15 November 1928. He was a late bloomer, not by choice but by circumstances beyond his
control. He was incredibly poor, malnourished, often ill and had much to bear at a young age.

Being the eldest, he had to look after his siblings; especially when his parents died, one after another, due to
illness caused by abject poverty.

His autobiography defines his burning desire to succeed, his endless courage and will power to fight against
all odds to become what he is today. It is hope that the book will become an inspiration and motivation to
the students in believing themselves to achieve beyond the impossible.
