26 January, 2010: For most children living in the urban area, surfing the internet and building Lego blocks and playing and interacting with computers are common everyday activites. For those living in the rural area, these activities could be something new and exciting. And here’s what the PINTAR Foundation, with its PINTAR Mobile Unit hopes to achieve – close the learning gap between the rural and urban areas.

Realizing the wide knowledge gap in Information Technology (IT) between the urban and rural students, the PINTAR Foundation recently organized a series of visits to UEM Land’s PINTAR schools in Nusajaya, Johor. During the visit, students from 11 schools had the opportunity to participate in various activities including computer games and other IT and innovative activities.

They also had the chance to play the computer games in the PINTAR bus, guided by PINTAR instructors. The PINTAR bus was in Nusajaya for a week before they departed to the PINTAR schools in Pahang.
