Nusajaya, 7 November 2009: UEM Land Berhad, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEM Land Holdings Berhad and the master developer of Nusajaya - the key driver of Iskandar Malaysia, today entered into a Sale & Purchase Agreement valued at RM26.7 million with Themed Resorts and Attractions Sdn Bhd (“TAR”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the investment holding arm for the government of Malaysia.
Under the agreement, TAR will purchase two (2) parcels of land totalling approximately 4.221 acres that forms a part of Puteri Harbour for the development of a complex that will house the first family indoor theme park, a 300-room hotel and retail outlets. With this, UEM Land Berhad’s vision for this regional city, Nusajaya, which is powered by the diversity of its development to come alive by 2012, is well into execution.
UEM Land had also signed a Development Management Service Agreement with TAR whereby UEM Land shall act as the Development Manager for the development and generally managing the development up to the completion of fit out and handover to TAR within four years from the date of the Sales & Purchase Agreement.

To date, the Puteri Harbour Public Marina and Clubhouse catering to the needs of seafarers and Promenade for the general public have been completed. Earth works on Parcels A1 and A2 have also commenced. The security masterplan for Puteri Harbour has also been executed as part of its strategy to meet and exceed investor expectations of a safe and secure development.
