UEM Land’s East Ledang is Asia Pacific’s Best
Company garners four accolades at Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 May 2012 - UEM Land Holdings Berhad (“UEM Land”) emerged as an Asia Pacific winner for its East Ledang development at the recent International Property Awards 2012 which was held during an exclusive gala dinner and awards ceremony on 27 April 2012 at the JW Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

East Ledang, which won the Best Architecture Multiple Residence in Asia Pacific is a gated and guarded community garden residential development situated on 275 acres of prime land in Nusajaya, Johor comprising of link duplexes, twin villas and bungalows complemented by 31 esoteric gardens, a lake and wetlands. This is a return winning participation for East Ledang as it received a Highly Commended award for the Development category in the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2009.

UEM Land also received Highly Commended awards in three (3) categories at the national level for its other developments; Mixed-use Development for Puteri Harbour, as well as Commercial High-rise Development and High-rise Architecture for Angkasa Raya.

Puteri Harbour, dubbed the ‘jewel of Nusajaya’ is a 688-acre integrated urban waterfront development that offers exceptional waterfront living. Angkasa Raya is a unique mixed-use development that combines premium office space, service residences, luxury hotel, and signature retail with sky levels offering spectacular views of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline. Designed by famed architect Ole Schreeren, the 268-meter tall building is made up of three cubic volumes which appear to float above open and horizontal layers.

As one of Asia Pacific award winners, UEM Land’s East Ledang will progress to compete against other winning projects from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia to vie for the World’s Best title. These awards are part of the London-based International Property Awards which was established 18 years ago, comprising residential and commercial categories.

UEM Land has been successful at the Asia Pacific Property Awards in recent years. Horizon Hills, which is situated in the heart of Nusajaya, Johor won the Asia Pacific’s Best Golf Development in 2009 while its 10 Mont’Kiara and 11 Mont’Kiara developments in Kuala Lumpur achieved 5-star ratings in the Best High-rise Architecture and Best High-Rise Development categories respectively. In 2010, its lavish 28 Mont’Kiaradrea condominiums was declared the winner in the Best International High-rise Development category. The following year, Arcoris Mont’Kiara, a vibrant mixed-use development was named Best International Commercial High-rise Development.
